It is built on ISO 31000:2018, the international standard adopted in Australia as AS ISO 31000:2018, but pared back to the essentials. It covers the purpose of risk management as creating and protecting value, the principles that make it effective, and the process itself, from setting context through to assessing, treating and monitoring risk. Less time on theory, more on a way of working your team can actually use.
It is led by a former Chief Risk Officer who has applied the standard in regulated, government and not-for-profit settings, so the examples come from the real work rather than the textbook. Participants leave with a common language for risk and a simple, repeatable process, in a single sitting.
